경계의 건축

 

그리스인들의 경계에 대한 상징적 표현: “그것은 하나의 끝나는 시점이 아니라, 그것의 본질을 시작하는 지점이다.”

경계는 영역을 한정하기도 하지만, 그 반대쪽에서는 새로운 시작이 되는 곳이다. 경계가 되는 장소는 끝이며 동시에 시작이 된다. 이곳은 여러 장소를 이어주는 연결고리 역할을 하고, 다양한 잠재성을 가지고 있다. 도시 건축 디자인을 통해 다양한 분야의 연결고리로서 건축의 역할을 추구한다.  

 

 

 

Architecture of the boundary

 

According to the Greeks, this symbolic expression of boundary is not the point where something ends, but rather the starting point from which a thing’s essence commences.       - Vorträge und Aufsätze, M.Heidegger, Milano 1954 -

 

The boundary limits a certain area. But the other side is where the new start. The place where the boundary is the terminus and, at the same time, is a new beginning. This is the ring which connects multiple places, and has a variety of potential. We pursue the role of Architecture as a linkage between the various fields through urban architecture design.
